They showed up at a funeral I went to for a young 20 year old Marine who died in Iraq. The word was that idiot "preacher" and his "church" were coming to protest the funeral. As you can imagine, I had a few choice things I wanted to tell them. The Patriot Guard showed up but, thankfully, the protestors did not. They are truly amazing and heroic people. I didn’t know they had their own website, I’m glad you posted that.

They passed a fire engine that was parked on the side of the road. It took a few lights for all the motorcycles to through, so there were 3 groups. As each group of motorcycles went by, the firemen put on thier siren to let the Patriot Guard know how much they are appreciated. I think it's great as the Patriot Guard goes to funerals to let the servicemen and thier families know how much they are appreciated.
