Similar woes here in the Chicago area where there are only two seasons: winter and road construction.

ST, I was working up a post on an actress who died young. The loveliest actress I ever saw, in fact!

I don't buy raw spinach, I usually don't watch YouTube. The very idea that some idiots, in this very nation, would consider film of American soldiers being killed to be "entertainment", reduces the chance I will go to YouTube any time soon!

And how as your day?

Oops! Sorry sanity :"> Good luck on that drive home. I took a different route on the way home from work because I had to make a few stops at some stores and the traffic was a nightmare.

Umm, don't really have anything to add to the discussion except it's Friday, 3:30 pm here on the west coast, and I can't wait to get out of work and crack open an ice cold beer. I'm really not in the mood to be working right now.

Sanity, at least in Michigan you can know from day to day who the candidates are!

Here in NJ, all the buzz is about when (not whether) the Dems are going to push Bob Menendez off the GW bridge. He was losing ground in the polls even before the news broke about the ethics investigation (I know, you can't believe a New Jersey Democrat would face ethics charges, but it's true... :o ). Since then, Kean's been pulling away and last I saw led by more than the margin of error for the poll. So naturally, the Dems are going to try to plug in a more electable candidate at the last minute, like they did a few years ago. Typical fun and games here.

I don't think it'll work this time. The GOP has a better funded and better known candidate this time in Kean. He's a RINO, of course, but more in the Specter mold than the Chaffee mold.

Oh yeah, work....a couple of database design discussions and a pointless one-hour group meeting to see a software demo I've already seen twice. But at least vacation starts on Sunday!!! :))

Same here, at work.

Running alot of CAT5 cables and doing the ends. So took a break before my fingertips begin to bleed...ungh

Here is one thing not even being discussed in the media...gas prices are plummetting.

$2.25 by me and I hear in Iowa it is like $1.97.

Listening the the Laura Ingraham show this morning, they spoke a bit about this possibly giving a bump to the presidents poll numbers since it was known that if you have higher gas prices presidents polling goes down, and when it prices go down, the president should get a bump back up for this.

The there is the Granholm and Devos Governor race heating up here in Michigan. Personally I think I will go with Devos, because I don't see really anything that Granholm has done for Michigan, he was president of a multi-million dollar company (amway) and she, well she keeps blaming everything on the previous administration (Engler) or the President.

Here is something I would LOVE to see.....

Truth in Advertising.

Tell me, the voter, what YOU plan to do if elected into office.

Don't tell me what the other guy is doing, unless your advertising to help him.

Democrats say "vote for change", well hey, how about telling me what that change will be. Tell me the voter, what it is that you will do to IMPROVE our economy, IMPROVE our spending reduction, IMPROVE our Job Growth, IMPROVE rooting out corruption in government, IMPROVE our foriegn relations, IMPROVE our border security, IMPROVE our nation saftey.....

Tell me the voter what YOUR plan is....

Don't tell me about the other guy, don't tell me his faults or what he may or may not have done, because all you do is tell me YOU DO NOT HAVE AN AGENDA besides attacking your opponent.

Truth in Advertising...is it so much to ask?

Today I learned all about bacterium Escheria coli, (E-coli), bagged spinach, and health alerts. So if the CDA and other assorted alphabet-soup named org.s haven't told us which brand is contaminated, we just cook the hell out of it; no raw spinach salads!
