I cannot abide the notion of not voting for the GOP due to some mistakes made by Repubs. There is absolutely no upside to that angle. To not vote at all, or to vote Dem, or to vote indie is all the same in terms of the negative impact on the nation. Each of those voting decisions puts the Dems back in the comfy chairs, and they are unworthy and incapable of leading this nation, particularly now that we are at war. Instead, why not save time and just blow your brain out now.

Good show Bill! Now, if we can’t win militarily in Afghan, why can we do so in Iraq against 10 times as many people? Oh yeah, several of the commanders there have said we can’t. But hell, Hitler’s “defeatist” generals said they should have gotten the hell out of Russia, too.

My comment on the Commissar’s post had nothing to with Frist either (nor did I think his post had to do with Frist–I read it as a more general rant).

My post was focusing solely on the decidedly angst-ridden ‘graf re the war.

To make a statement that “Iraq is totally hopeless” ignores reality. Ditto for saying that Iraq is a paradise that one would want to spend a summer in.

I fart in the general direction of both.

This is another one of those things that don’t make sense. Someone dislikes what Frist said, thinks it’s defeatist, so they will go vote for the Democrats? That’s like saying that I think Allen is a racist so I think I’ll vote for David Duke instead.

My decision and my post have nothing to do with Frist’s remarks. The first I heard of them is when Allah (in his post about them) linked to my earlier post. My issues are all with Bush, Rummy, and the Iraq War, which is clear if you read my post. Not one word in it about Frist.

If you and Army Lawyer find it emotional, so be it.
