Liberals.. eat your talking points... Sometimes governance takes time but this is the second increase in port security since 9/11

While of course even more "extreme" measures should be taken, your talking point that says Bush has done "nothing" on port security is BDS and incorrect/false. Accusations/allegations don't win elections. Solutions do. I hope the blogoshere takes up this and the 698 mile fence and other things that have been signed this year as talking points for Republicans. Terrorist surveillance continuing, SWIFT continuing, detainees being held during the continuance of the war, and preventing a humanitarian crisis in Iraq by Democratic 'redeployment' of troops non-solutions.

While I would've loved to see Social Security reform and school choice, you aren't getting those things with Democrat leaders and yes governing takes time.

Remember that Charlie Rangel does not see a Bush tax cut (Bush cut taxes for ALL taxpayers) that he doesn't see fit to keep. What happens when taxes are raised? That is less money being kept by Americans and therefore less money to be spent on goods and services. When there is less money to be spent on goods and services less goods and services are purchased and companies therefore produce less goods and services and layoff people to cut expenses. Charlie Rangel has the exact opposite common sense of how the economy works that we need and therefore we need to get out and vote for any and every conservative or Republicans on the ticket.

While there are leftist Republicans, it will not help to vote for their Democrat opponent or stay home for all of the issues I just mentioned.

he New York Times reports that the L.A. Times:

"...[is] dedicating three investigative reporters and half a dozen editors to find ideas, at home and abroad, for re-engaging the reader, both in print and online. The newspaper's editor, Dean Baquet, and its new publisher, David Hiller, plan to convene a meeting today to start the effort, which is being called the Manhattan Project. A report is expected in about two months."

- Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase -"Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic".

- Does anyone else find it somewhat ironic that every "forestall the inevitable" measure centers on the idea of avoiding simple plain facts and truth.

- Maybe the fastest way to enlighten them, vis a vis their "real" problem, would be to circulate copies of the "Kings new suit" in the Editorial room.

- Having the NY Trash "advise" the LA Trash on believability, is like having Maggie Albright negotiate arms agreements. All you're going to end up with is a-bombs that look like basketballs.

CNN has a headline banner on their website saying that Air Amerika has just filed for bankruptcy.

Now, how long before we start hearing the liberals and Democrats claiming that they were forced off the air before the election to keep them from broadcasting the truth about the evil Republicans instead of they were victims of their own incompetence?

Aye Aye Sir!

By the way Sir. I have a question.

There is a saying that when an officer orders you to jump, the enlisted asks, "How high sir?". Well... I don't get that and never have. Shouldn't the enlisted man/woman just be jumping instead of backtalking with some assinine question about how high? :o

I'm just playin'. I was in the Navy for 6 years... from 1988-1994. It was during my Navy years (1991) when I had the massive core belief change and became a conservative after visiting the library 3 times a week for a year. Well... I haven't stopped researching and learning since then. My positions become more refined as I learn more but never have I even remotely strayed from conservativism.

Anyways, I ramble. Carry on ! Keep those shoes shined.

- They should start calling it the "Nobel piece of s***" prize.

- On another front, but somewhat related, there's a growing movement shaping up within the more well known Conservative blogger ranks, to generate a ratings list for all of the media companies that have a substantial hand, and or voice, in the disimination of political news/vids/commentary on the net. This is coming about in reaction to the various recent dustups which appear to be a concerted campaign by the Left to gerrymand these outlets, things like the Malkin/Youtube affair etc, and thereby control the political narrative. I think we all would agree we have enough NYtrash examples already, and there's no way we'll just sit by and watch the net become a wing of the DNC. I'm watching developments in this area, and will email ST when it becomes more firm. We all know how the "Proggs" really feel about free speech. Nuff said for now.

If you ever needed absolute, incontrovertible proof that the Nobel Peace Prize has become nothing more than a vehicle for leftist Europeans to insult the US and this Administration, look no further. I had thought that there is no way they could do worse then when they gave it to Peanuthead Carter, or Yassar Arafat, but this takes the cake. The Nobel Peace Prize has officially become a complete joke.

Oh well, there's always the hope that Kim Jong Il will beat her out for the prize. l-)
