BTW, In no way was I trying to direct anyones eyes of sympathy towards me, rather I felt it important when relaying my message that the reader had some sense that I've gone through it and know what I'm talking about.

I was hoping to impart some experience and wisdom to whomever read this far.....

.... not that I'm that wise...;)

As again I cried today due to my loss of by dearest friend and love of my life, but when I see stories like this I find a certain amount of strength because there are others who have lost great human beings in their lives too. I was never able to empathize with this soldiers loved ones. Now I know what pain they must be going through and hope and pray for their ability to accept. Acceptance (according to the greivance counselor that I saw) is the stage after greiving. But of course there may be some time where there is both greiving and acceptance.

Thanks ST for this post.

I read this story in the paper. Once again we are reminded how lucky we are to have men such as this fighting for us.

Godspeed, Michael and thank you.
