In the air: Los Angeles/Tokyo, 5500 miles in a private jet.

Gas guzzled: 7,000 gallons of jet fuel.
Electric shocker: Even with his super-saver Tango, he’ll have to drive over 57 oceans — Pacific Oceans to break even.

So George says: Clooney’s rep, publicist Stan Rosenfield, tells TMZ, “You clearly have no understanding of certain people’s need for private transport,” and points out that Clooney often has “no control” over his travel schedule.

Yeah, George has noooo control over how he gets anywhere. He has no say at all, we tell him when and what to do….

Feds Are Investigating Apparent Breach Of Classified Info At Nation’s Top Nuclear Lab

A drug raid on a the home of a scientist at the Los Alamos nuclear weapons laboratory in New Mexico turned up what appeared to be classified documents taken from the facility, the FBI said.

Even though Los Alamos is under new management, Danielle Brian, executive director of the watchdog group Project on Government Oversight, said the lab has not done much to clean up its act.

“Los Alamos has always seemed to be rewarded for its screw-ups” Brian said. “We’re waiting with bated breath to see if anything has changed.”

The idea that police found classified documents at a home where a drug sting was being conducted is disturbing, she said.

“The problem is when you actually have those materials that are supposed to be protected inside the lab and you find them outside the lab in the hands of criminals that should worry everybody” Brian said.

Take your pick, celebrity hypocrites (do as I say not as I do) or nulcear secrets being found out of secure areas in the hands of criminals….

Doesn’t say, and probably never will, but I would be interested in knowing what classified documents were found in that house.

Rest assured, we are gearing up our lawyers for a recount. We just want to make sure all points in last night’s game were actually, and that a touchdown or two was not overlooked in the rush to judgement.

After all, the game was played in Dallas which is in Texas. Texas is a southern state nowhere near Pennsylvania, whose capital is Harrisburg. And “Harrisburg” sounds like Kathleen Harris who stole the 2000 election.

A coincidence? I think not! More likely a Halliburton conspiracy.

Two candidates whom Ms. Pelosi is said to be considering for Intelligence Committee chairman are Representatives Alcee L. Hastings of Florida and Silvestre Reyes of Texas, both of whom currently serve on the panel.

The selection of Mr. Hastings, who is black, would help Ms. Pelosi shore up support from the powerful Congressional Black Caucus. But he has a checkered past, having been impeached and removed from a federal judgeship in 1989 on a bribery charge. Some Democrats fear that installing him in so sensitive a position would only invite Republican charges of weak Democratic leadership on national security matters.

Let me get this straight…Hastings was guilty of accepting bribes, and removed from office (by a vote of 413-3, as I recall, so this was as bipartisan a vote as you can get). And with this track record, Pelosi is thinking of putting him in charge of security oversight? It’s a good thing he didn’t commit armed robbery, or she’d be pushing him for a cabinet position.

And as for inviting charges that the Dems are weak on national security – with a handful of exceptions, that’s already been established.

You think the Canes are having trouble?? Try imagining what us Flyer fans are going through. They’re playing like an expansion team.

Even my fantasy hockey team is in last place. You’d think as the league commissioner I’d figure out a way to rig the game or something…

Man, Libertarian candidate Thomas Rankin is thanking his lucky stars he was afflicted by MS and is wheelchair-bound, otherwise, Rep. Barbara Cubin (R) would’ve kicked his ass. Or, that’s essentially what Cubin told Rankin after yesterday’s debate.

I don’t know if threatening disabled candidates for Congress with physical harm is “Wyoming values”. Such boorish cowardice isn’t really acceptable behavior anywhere in this world, as Rankin notes:

“The best response Barbara Cubin could give would be a resignation” he said. “Nothing less than that would satisfy me.

“She is not the type of person Wyoming residents want representing them” he said.

I certainly hope the folks on the page are outraged that a Member of Congress would threaten a man with MS.

Seems that people almost “like” the bad news they keep hearing from the left media about Iraq, it justifies their anti-war philosophy, yet when I post some of the good news coming out of Iraq they get up in arms (no pun intended).
