I can certainly usderstand the inexperienced indoctrinated youthful side of the hard Left doing something this stupid. The only reason I can see the DNC leadership going along with it is campaign funding. But now that that's not coming to pass, they have to know they've jumped the shark badly. What could they have been thinking. Amazing. Remember, as ST says, not only did Gore back Dean instead of Lieberman, but he didn't even have the courtesy and consideration to call Lieberman up and tell him of this before he announced his support for Dean! Good ol'Joe, Gore's own running mate a scant 4 years before, supposedly a friend, and he blindsides him, Lieberman first heard about Gore's announced support for Dean on the news!
