Another Lefty Meltdown Goes Public

I know, I’m two posts in and I’m link-whoring to my own site like cuh-RAZY!

Here’s the background, though. Ned Lament Lamont is getting his butt handed to him by Joe Lieberman in what the nutroots thought…oh-so-badly THOUGHT…was going to be their shining moment.

Now, you ask, what’s the only possible reason Lamont is going to lose this Tuesday? Who’s to blame? Why, it’s the Democrats, of course.

I posted this little quote from one of the top liberal bloggers:

“Trusting these people is a huge tactical error. Never trust anything that these insider Democrats tell you” he said, adding, for good measure, “Bill Clinton is a liar.”

What I find funny as heck about this is that it ONLY took them, what, fourteen years to figure that out?? We conservatives KNEW Clinton was a serial-liar before he was even sworn in. And these people think they’re the most educated and brilliant people in the country? Mmm…yeah.

Anywhoo…more of this “it’s the Democrats’ fault” from the Washington Times. It’s not just Matt Stoller at MyDD waking up and smelling the maple-nut crunch, but a host of others, including the kooks over at Kos:

The liberal blogosphere is filled with accusations that national Democrats helped Mr. Lamont only half-heartedly, failed to infuse his campaign with cash and couldn’t resist effusively praising Mr. Lieberman even after he lost the Democratic nomination. Mr. Obama has been the focus of particular scorn for not campaigning in Connecticut against Mr. Lieberman.

An open letter to Mr. Obama posted on the Daily Kos blog (www.dailykos.com) implored him to do all he can to defeat Mr. Lieberman.

“Why you would want to spend another day in the Senate with the duplicitous, war-mongering Joe Lieberman is beyond me,” the author wrote. [Ed. note: I’ll clue you in…it’s about POWER with the Democrats…always has been, always will. They will never, ever do anything that would jeopardize that.]

But perhaps the deepest perceived wound came from Mr. Reid, who reportedly has promised Mr. Lieberman that he will keep his seniority in the caucus if he wins in the midterm elections.

Mr. Stoller concludes that “Democratic Senators are moral lepers, weaklings, and that is the only reason we aren’t further ahead … The Democratic Senate leaders will sell us out at every opportunity, be it torture, Iraq, [Supreme Court Justice Samuel A.] Alito, Lieberman, the Bankruptcy Bill or stopping war with Iran.”

The article goes on to remind readers that not more than a year ago, Harry Reid and other Democrats were welcomed like rock stars at the Yearly Kos Convention (any takers that says there won’t be a repeat?).

I get no end of enjoyment to watching these people wake up to the hard reality of what their party really is and what it’s all about. They’re people who truly don’t believe a word they say, never will take a stand on principle, and they sure as heck aren’t to be trusted with anything, be it our tax dollars or national security.

Yet as sure as the sun will rise in the morning, they’ll be at the voting booth on Tuesday pulling the lever for the very people they’re claiming to be upset with. Hypocrisy isn’t unique to the leaders in the Democratic Party, obviously.
