One possibility is the Dems gain a 1 seat majority, bush appoints him to replace rummy, and the dems are right back where they started. they have his caucus for house leadership, and then no great voting power. An empty wine glass at best. though it's true the reps have 21 seats up for grabs in '08, and the dems only 12, which Joe would have to consider, if he's in bush's cabinet, he's immune because he could stick around for Guiliani. - All in all, the Dems have certainly found any number of ways to make this election season, and the one in ‘08, really really interesting. If they'd have just played "centrist", ala the Clinton's, they could have had it all, done whatever they wanted once they got total Congressional control, and had 10 times the political clout going into ‘08. They never had to do the Bush bash, Iraq is it's own reward. All they've done is managed to endlessly alienate more of the mainstream electorate, and give the Reps thing's to play off of. Amazing. If ever there was a case of over stirring the brooth, this has to be it. - and BTW....If Guiliani picks someone like Condi for his running mate, he'll be unbeatable. Something for everyone. Not because they represet the little guy, those that are victims... But because if they lose anything, it's not their fault, they are victims of malfeance, the election was stolen, voting was suppressed, discrimination...ect. It really isn't hard to look back over anything the Democrats do when they lose, or don't get their way. Look at what they do and say afterwards to gauge their victimhood. They are the party of victims, not in what they represent, but in how they act. It is sad to say, but it really looks like the Democrat party is the party of victimhood.

Not because they represet the little guy, those that are victims…

But because if they lose anything, it’s not their fault, they are victims of malfeance, the election was stolen, voting was suppressed, discrimination…ect.

It really isn’t hard to look back over anything the Democrats do when they lose, or don’t get their way. Look at what they do and say afterwards to gauge their victimhood.
