The problem with your anaysis Bang is two fold. 1. A Zebra cannot change it’s stripes; and 2. You can’t teach and old dog new tricks. The losers in this election are not the SecProgs and the far right, but those of us that are in the middle. All you have to do is look at the Dem leadership. Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the house; Conyers (a Communist/Socialist)as Judiciary chair; Rangel, as Ways and Means, Murtha or Hoyer as Majority whip, and an impeached judge as Intellegence chair. Don’t forget Baghdad Jim McDermott from the Seattle area, etc on the House side. We have Reid, who has called the President a liar and a loser; Kennedy, who said the Iraq war was cooked up for political gain, Turbin Dick Durban, who denigrated the troops by saying they were worse than Pol Pot and the Nazis; Chucky Shumer who had operatives sneak in and steal personal records from Michael Steele. Worse yet these people are in the pocket of MoveOn.org; Code Pink; Michael Moore; Cindy Sheehan, the listeners of the defunct Air America: Daily Kos; and the Democratic Underground. You want to look at how dangerous the situation we are in know, go read DailyKos.com or DU.com. Pelosi and Reid will take their marching orders from the far left, or they will lose their support. Impeachment and investigations will happen, because it is the left’s nature to control and blame. I am attempting to be as positive as I can about the results of this election, but for the first time in my life, I am truly afraid of what might come by letting these people have this much power. Right now, our biggest hope comes in the fact that George W Bush is the president and we better hope that he doesn’t cave to the left’s version of bipartisanism.

I have no doubt that very soon we will be releasing some of Sadamn’s military stores so that the people of Iraq might stand a chance. Nancy now knows that the whole rant of Iraq is in a civil war, can finally be realized due to Tuesday’s election results. But now she has a problem, how to make it not appear to be something she did. - Pelosi is caught. She is stalling, trying to stave off the demands of her hard left support, much of which is getting ever more uncontrollable with each passing day, (In SF some of her rag tag gaggle scream at her for being too pro war if you can believe that, calling her a baby killer….those people are somewhere left of Lenin), and trying to listen to her core party advisors who are warning her to move the party toward the middle, or kiss ‘08 goodbye.

- I don’t think she’s up to it. Pure and simple. At some point the whole thing will cave in on her head, and she’ll be forced to jetison the hard left, or doom the Dems chances in ‘08. All extreme positions are officially irrelevant from now on until the ‘08 elections are history. The hard Left moonbats already know this, and in their sweet tolorant way, are going to make as much trouble as possible, trying desperately to stay in the game. The fortunes of the Dems rides on how well the party leadership can handle them.
