You guys have obviously never lived in San Francisco. We are very tolerant of religion. We allow people to believe in God, (as I do and I have never been chastised for doing so), however, we are also tolerant of people who don’t believe in our God and allow them to worship whatever they choose to. We are so tolerant of the military that we have an army base right here in our backyard. We have strict gun measures because we are trying to stop crime. We live in an urban place and in any urban region, there is violence and we are trying to do our best to stop the violence. I understand why gun laws make people who hunt angry, but in the bay, there isn’t anything to hunt, except people. I also have friends who are conservative and I have friends who are liberal. We all get along. We discuss our politics without dismissing each other’s ideas. We are open-minded. We don’t chastise you for your beliefs the way you guys are chastising us for our “liberal” beliefs. Back when you good folks were lynching blacks, we were giving them jobs. First African-Americans, now gay people. By the way, we are so diverse, we have a “minority majority.” I guess not everyone thinks we are intolerant of their beliefs. Based on what I’ve read, I’m now sure that in North Carolina, I’d be shot right now for my beliefs. I have many friends who have moved to San Francisco to escape being discriminated against and I never thought that people like you existed. In San Francisco, not all Christians are conservative, the most Christian, god-fearing person at work is gay, your boss is black, the janitor is white, and dad’s stay at home…and vice versa. We break the rules. Sorry you don’t like it. I’m sure if you moved here, you’d find your “group” without having to dress like a Goth. Back in high school, my school didn’t even have cliques. “Football players” played the trombone in band and hung out with “geeks.” I’m sure you’d find this very shocking. Just breathe, it’s okay!

Yeah, they’re very tolerant, as long as you’re just like them. True commitment to “diversity” would mean tolerance for the military, religion, and the other myriad beliefs the majority of Americans have, but that’s sure not what I see in them.

Then claiming to espouse “American” values is like finding a nekid guy sexually abusing your dog on the back porch at the same time as he’s telling you that he is just a normal, sexually active guy. But then, I guess he would be in SF.
