I have to say that I’m not so sure the world actually likes us again (although from my limited travels abroad, I’m darn sure the rest of the world, as in Europe, doesn’t hate us nearly as much as the media would like us to believe) — but I know that the media will tell us the world likes us again.
They’ll tell us lots of things now. Can’t you feel it already? The economy’s surging, everyone suddenly has a job, terrorists are planting flowers and making balloon animals for small children. The sun is shining brighter …
