I heard a caller on Medved refer to this lie today. Apparently Mike ain’t on to it yet. But those who oppose our involvement in Iraq are all too willing to dive into these stories and guzzle every last drop as if there’s no way it can’t be true. They think it validates their position. Ironic since the claim Bush sent our troops their on lies, now they’re happy to pull out with the support of lies.

But truth to tell, I think one has to lay some of this at the feet of the administration. Bush has been incapable or unwilling to trumpet the successes of our forces and counter the negative reporting of the situation. Thus, the liars aligned with the enemy are free to say what they want, knowing that the MSM will be just too happy to print every word.

AP Faking The News

The fauxtography and phony stories worked to get Israel out of Lebanon. Now the AP is trying to do the same thing to the U.S. in Iraq. And what about any troops accused by the same frauds for crimes they didn’t commit?

ST I stopped believing any MSM stories about Iraq ever since the BBC said there were no US troops in Baghdad the day Baghdad was liberated. Now any MSM story I hear about violence in Iraq I believe is a lie. It seems I was right to be sceptical about the MSM Sunni civilians story.

This is major?

This goes beyond major. The founding fathers placed the free press statute in the Constitution for a reason. They new that control of the citizeny can be partially implemented through the press. this is why I turn my nose up at state owned press organization, such as al-Jazeera.

We as citizens must better learn to diseminate the facts from the half truths, specious assertions and out right lies.

In short- we’re screwed.
