Weds/Thurs open thread and blogging schedule

Posted by: ST on December 6, 2006 at 10:27 pm

Hey ya’ll,

The next couple of days blogging will be light during the day, but I’ll do my best to make up for it in the evening. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

If you have sent me an email in the last few days, don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you – I’ll be catching up in the evening tomorrow. This has just been a bit of a crazy week for me.

Check out the beautiful Capitol Christmas tree:

The Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony takes place on Capitol Hill in Washington, Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006. The 37-year-old Silver Fir from Olympic National Forest in Washington is 65 ft. tall and is adorned with about 3,000 ornaments and special energy efficient LED lights.(AP Photo/Lawrence Jackson)

The White House is gorgeous and elegant all the time, but especially this time of year. Here are some pix of the WH at Christmastime. HGTV had a “White House Christmas 2006” special on tonight at 8 ET but I missed it. It’ll be re-aired at midnight. Scroll down on this page to see the schedule for other times it will air this month.

Well, I finally got a new computer after my other one completely crapped out on me. I took it in to the service dept and they said they will be able to get all my pics and videos off of the hard drive, which is mostly fried!!!!

I also moved into my brand new room last weekend!!!!!!

All in all, it’s been a good few weeks.

  2. Good to see you back NC and that you have some good news on your computer woes :)

Got all your Christmas shopping done yet?

  3. NC Cop says:

Not yet, but it won’t be too hard.

    It’s gift cards, ALL AROUND!!!!!:d

ST, don’t you have digital cable with a DVR (our choice) or one of them there TIVO thingies? Couldn’t imagine TV life without it!

  5. - I have TiFh instead of TiVo geezer. Yeh you got it. “touch index finger here” on the click….. *chuckle*

    – Bang **==

3B, there’s only one known cure for “Fat Finger,” and it ain’t pretty.

I gotta admit, the first time I used the live pause (a Mets game) I wasn’t completely sure the darn thing would come back. In a long ago episode of “The Young Ones,” this would’ve been known as techno-fear.

I’d like to take this moment to thank the Pearl Harbor survivors for their sacrifice and service. God help us avoid having to fight such a desperate war again, but the Democrats are steering us into one with the Isalamofascists.

I would also like to make note of the Passing into the ether of Iowa Voice. Brian is quitting blogging tomorrow, Friday. The blogosphere is poorer without him.

  8. PCD, check out my two latest posts this morning – hot off the presses – which talks about both things you mentioned ;)

  9. PCD says:

ST, I did check them out.

Yet, you can bet, when it does happen they will blame Bush’s policy in the Middle East. They have a scapegoat for every terrorist attack on the U.S. for the next twenty years, and they’ll use it.
