Profiles in courage: Navy medic Chris Walsh – RIP

This article about a Navy medic and a Marine platoon coming to the rescue of a sick Iraqi baby is about a week old, but I just rec’d it in email this evening by a reader – the story itself is timeless.

Keep the tissues handy.

These kinds of stories don’t get nearly enough press… :-?

And they won’t, Jack, as long as the press is determined to ignore the Chris Walshes that are far more typical in our military than the Lyndie Englands they prefer to dwell on.

Maybe Dick Durbin thinks Chris Walsh was some kind of storm trooper, and maybe Charlie Rangel and John Kerry might consider him a drooling half-wit, and maybe the MSM wants to bury stories like this, but the truth will eventually come out.

    Thanks for posting this, Sis.
