Sistah,

Thanks for mentioning me. The Jets hung tough, but Brady was tougher. And Belichek showed good sportsmanship for a change by hugging Mangini at the end of the game. Go Brady! I'll root for the Pats now.

Now as for the business with Israel and Iran. Here's the skinny from Howie Kurtz in the Washington Post.
-----
London's Sunday Times has a piece headlined "Revealed: Israel Plans Nuclear Strike on Iran." But Israeli blogger Allison Kaplan Sommer, writing for Pajamas Media, does some debunking:

"Anyone reading the Sunday Times story and is waiting for the nukes to start dropping any moment can take a deep breath and relax. There are several reasons to doubt that such an attack is truly imminent or even imaginable.

First and foremost - one must consider the source of this story. The Sunday Times journalist in question Uzi Mahnaimi, is a controversial figure, who co-authored a book with Bassam Abu Sharif, former senior adviser to Yasser Arafat and PLO press officer.

"While some may believe he has actual military sources in Israel who use him to leak stories that won't make it past censors, others think he is used by foreign agents to push stories that embarrass Israel...

"One thing is clear: Mahnaimi makes a regular habit of reporting that Israel is about to attack Iran. If his reporting was accurate, Iranian nuclear facilities would already be a smoking ruin -- not once, but multiple times."
-----

In other words, move along, move along, nothing to see here.

Kyle Kosier gives the officials the bird

Then there was quite a bit of sloppy football, including a penalty on first down for the Cowboys where Kyle Kosier threw hands to the face, costing the Cowboys 10 yards.

The officials didn't notice, but Kyle then gave them the bird.

The Kerry incident shows the night and day difference between liberal and conservative bloggers and the liberal news media. The conservative blogs make corrections and admit when they are wrong.

Now, that being said, the Kerry pic is a red herring, yes, that pic is a meeting with reporters, but, if he was soooo popular, where are all the pictures of him being surrounded by his adoring constituents and fans in the military? Hmmmm...seems to me I haven't seen any, despite the desperate desire of the liberals to prove that he wasn't shunned. Also seems to me that whenever Rumsfeld or Bush went to Iraq, there were no shortage of pics of them with lots of troops. Hmmm...double hmmm...:-? Heck, even Hillary managed to get pictures of her with more than a few troops, although in many of the pictures some of the troops didn't seem all that happy to be there (in one photo a GI was using the hand signal that is used to indicate they are there under duress).

As for Israel, this is more just planning than actual fact, we even have plans to fight Canada for cripe's sake, the military plans for everything, and you'd better bet that the Israeli military takes such planning seriously, considering they are surrounded by enemies who have shown that they will attack them. I seriously doubt Olmert has the stones to do this, unless he is desperate to look tough after screwing up the recent Lebanon hostilities and his mismanagement of the Palestinian problem (i.e. tying the military's hands). He just doesn't have the chops, but on the other hand, this should be a wake up call to the Iranians and the world, don't underestimate just how much effect the Holocaust had on the Jewish/Israeli collective psyche. After that little experiment in genocide (and compared to it, every other whining cry of "genocide" from various human rights organizations and countries are like comparing a firecracker to nukes) I really believe that if push comes to shove, the Israeli's would definitely drop the big one rather than risk a nuclear armed country just over the hill that has repeatedly said their goal is to erase all Jews from the planet.

So, not likely to happen soon, but don't underestimate the Israeli's.
