Islamofascist Aussie cleric in hot water over trying to recruit children for martyrdom

Disturbing but not surprising:

SYDNEY, Australia – A radical Australian cleric drew widespread condemnation Thursday over a series of videos in which he encourages children to become martyrs for Islam and ridicules Jews as pigs.

Sheik Feiz Mohammed, head of the Global Islamic Youth Center in western Sydney, made the remarks on a series of video lectures for sale in Australia and overseas.

“We want to have children and offer them as soldiers defending Islam,” the Australian-born cleric said in one video broadcast on Australian television.

The lectures were denounced as offensive by Australian government leaders and as not helpful by the head of the Islamic Friendship Association. The chief of the opposition Labor Party called them an incitement to terrorism.

In one video, the cleric said many parents were stopping their children from attending Islamic lessons for fear that they “might create a place in their hearts, the love, just a bit of love, of sacrificing their lives for Allah.”

“Teach them this: There is nothing more beloved to me than wanting to die as a mujahid,” or holy warrior, he added. “Put in their soft, tender hearts the zeal of jihad and a love of martyrdom.”

He also ridicules Jews as pigs, snorting and saying they will go to hell.

DUBLIN, Ireland (CNN) — At a recent debate over the battle for Islamic ideals in England, a British-born Muslim stood before the crowd and said Prophet Mohammed’s message to nonbelievers is: “I come to slaughter all of you.”

“We are the Muslims,” said Omar Brooks, an extremist also known as Abu Izzadeen. “We drink the blood of the enemy, and we can face them anywhere. That is Islam and that is jihad.”

Anjem Choudary, the public face of Islamist extremism in Britain, added that Muslims have no choice but to take the fight to the West.

“What are Muslims supposed to do when they are being killed in the streets in Afghanistan and Baghdad and Palestine? Do they not have the same rights to defend themselves? In war, people die. People don’t make love; they kill each other,” he said.

But in the same debate, held on the prestigious grounds of Dublin’s Trinity College in October, many people in the crowd objected.

“These people, ladies and gentleman, have a good look at them. They actually believe if you kill women and children, you will go to heaven,” said one young Muslim who waved his finger at the radicals.

“This is not ideology. It’s a mental illness.”

Let’s hope that “young Muslim” made it home ok that evening, considering it’s pretty much blasphemous to say such things about Islam in Europe, especially in front of the radicals.
