Actually, tommy in nyc, I think a redux of Kent State would not be a bad idea. The people who got threated by the antics of protestors pre-shooting at Kent State never got a fair hearing on their grievances.

I’m pretty sure the protestors getting shot would get significantly less benefit of the doubt now than then.

You know the more I think about this the more I realize why the Capital Police allowed them to paint the steps. They didn’t want the “Peace Marchers” to get violent. These guys don’t really care about peace, after all the vandalization of property is a violent act. Also, look at Jane Fonda. When she was so concerned about peace, wasn’t she filmed sitting in an anti aircraft weapon system pointing it at an American Jet, and making noises like a child trying to shoot down that same jet. That folks is the act of a violent mind. Let’s face it Jane just ain’t gonna be the next Ghandi. I will also lay odds, that these are the same folks that line up to march in a women’s rights marches, defending violence against the unborn. These people are so 2 faced and ignorant if it weren’t so tragic it would be laughable. – Lorica

I suggest following Lorica’s advice because you’re just priceless. Perhaps you should create a blog, then you wouldn’t have to be constantly wowing us with your magnificent insight into world events! Here’s some words for ya. With recent reports of 3000 centrifuges(sp) being employed by Iran, I would submit that this is further evidence of the futility of diplomacy with lunatics. How far in their nuclear program should they be allowed to progress considering their threatening remarks regarding Israel and the USA? Is Bush looking for excuses to invade Iran, or is Iran supplying them all on their own? We know they’re in Iraq stirring things up, now the progress on their nuclear program. These are signs, IMHO, that Bush has a far better handle on the Middle Eastern situation than does his opponents, even if his methods are less than perfect. How many dead before one dispenses with diplomacy and dons one’s ass-kickin’ boots?

Spray painting anarchy symbols is part of the M.O. for far-left protesters, but for the Capital police to just stand there while the Capital Building is tagged is just sickening. What the heck is going on with the Capitol authorities?

I don’t know why the police allowed the public to do the painting, but they allowed it. If your panties are in a wad over this, ask the police why it happened. I’m not defending the painters, and I would not have done it (what’s the point?). The fact is the tables are turning here in America. Poeple are waking up after the years of bushco and its administration. You will see many, many protests like this over the next 6-12 months. Once Mr Bush declares war on Iran (or just invades), you will see the streets of America filled with loyal, patriotic folks who know right from wrong. The winds of change are beginning to blow.
