Why do I not hear any of Congress or the House speak up on how it feels to hear this tantrum throwing child, arkin, talk about their sons, daughters, nieces and nephews?

Freedom of speech works both ways arkin. You have the right to say the most retarded, ignorant, beligerent, brain-dead, ball-less, self-absorbed, egotistical and assinine thing you want, bu we havethe right to use our freedom of speech to blast you, blast your employer adn your supporters if we feel you are wrong.

While I don’t agree with some that have posted his cell phone number, address, emails, ect so as to harrass him, I do think it is reasonable to flood the washington post with your displeasure.

And, bring to mind what others did with the radio station in CA, I see no reason why we as concerned and displeased consumers shouldn’t get a list of sponsors and backers of the Washington Post, show them and explain to them the what is causing the displeasure and exaplian to them this is a direct reflection on them also.

Also, I read on one blog (can’t remember whose – sorry) that we should have a different tactic with mr arkin. Since he seems to be so ignorant of facts and the troops, that we should setup for him to embed in Iraq for a few weeks.

How about it mr arkin? I am sure you will enjoy the obscene amenities, the decent wage (of course I am sure you will not terminate your pay and live off a normal soldiers pay though), you can enjoy the fee housing and medical support also.

Or do YOU plan to sit behind your computer screen and sorry to quote your there mr arkin, “They hide behind the constitution and the flag and then spew an anti-Democrat, anti-liberal, anti-journalism, anti-dissent, and anti-citizen message that reflects a certain contempt for the American people.”

I’m sorry, mr arkin but where have you been?

It is people like YOU, and the NYT, that hide behind the Constitution, 1st Admendment Rights, when you talk your trash, you fake your stories (AP / Rueters), and malign good men and women who serve in the military. But the hypocricy is when you hide behind that, but complain that others who do not support your views, should be ‘take aside’ or not even speak at all.

I support your right to say what you want mr arkin, but I support the right of the military an others to voice their opinions and feelings about what you have said, and if they end up getting sponsors to pull away from the washington post because of your freedom of speech, well, that too is their right and the right of the sponsors to distance themselves away from rhetoric and opinion that may cause problems for their sales.

Unless we’re in uniform, we cannot comment on the war. They’re in uniform, so they cannot comment on civilians. What would that be? Chicken dove?
