Just too many brainwashed Californians. Who, next time they screw up their power grid again or run out of potable water, will be trying to rip off Washington and Oregon for ours.

Some state legislators are introducing a bill making incandescent light bulbs illegal. Yep, watch out for the light bulb cops busting down your door on a no knock warrant looking for Gaia hatin’ bulbs.

The course I’m now in is across the bay so I get a rental car. I saw a notice at the rental place that children under six weighing less than sixty pounds were required by law to be in a rear seat, in a state approved seat. Really? What if that’s not the safest way? Suppose you turn off the passenger side airbag and use a rear facing child seat in front? Is that safe enough?

Not for California. Because they know way more about everything than you do, so shut up stupid peasant. And don’t waste time researching it because The State says what you shall do!

The state PUC has announced that energy companies are not permitted to purchase electricity from coal burning plants. Oh, how clean are these plants? Doesn’t matter, Thou Shalt Not. Don’t ask about plant emissions, we have decided for you. Shut up and eat your gruel. In the dark.

I am not only glad that I don’t live here anymore, but don’t understand how anyone else can stand it either.

Talk about writing checks you can’t cash… but what does it matter, they rode the squeaky clean ethics bandwagon into power, so who cares how many fall off it or how soon?

Seems to me that if I were interested in being considered ethical (come to think of it, I guess I am) I’d work on it by, you know, being ethical instead of yakking all the time about it. Let other people draw their own conclusions from my behavior, I guess. Not look like a blowhard.

But then, I think I’d actually do ethical stuff, too. Because otherwise, somebody might notice I was blowing smoke. Good thing I’m not a politician anyway – too much danger I’d screw up and let my mouth say what my brain was thinking.
