Coincidentally, they show up a primary problem with auto-exposure cameras, a predominantly white background will be underexposed by most camera meters by about 2 stops, as the camera tries to meter everything assuming it has an average reflectivity of an 18% gray card. I'm gonna show this to my bud at work tomorrow, he's just got into photography and we were discussing this but I didn't have a good example photo handy. Thanks for the pics ST.
