The sad truth for the bob’s of the world that commerce (people consuming) causes global warming.
I improved my home with tile this weekend in my master bathroom – that improvement of my home caused more CO2 in the atmosphere than if I was a poor 3rd worlder who had nothing but the food I ate during the same weekend.
Giving up our prosperity is not an option. Using hundreds of billions of federal dollars is Gore’s solution. Already Bush spends 3 BILLION per year which is MORE than any other country in the world on the problem yet we have a drive-by legacy media and bob’s of the world bashing Bush for not “caring” about the environment and claiming that he is just in it for the oil companies and whatever else FALSE accusations when really the blame should rest SQUARELY on the consumer of America. US. WE.
In the last 20 years we’ve seen a vast improvement in automobile engines. There has been improvement in emissions during the same period but there has also been a DOUBLING of horsepower in every car. Nissan Sentra’s used to have 70 horsepower. Ford Crown Victoria’s used to have 140 horsepower. The average family sedan had about 100. All of them are more than double now. Why? Because the big bad prosperous non-caring American consumer that bob despises. The sad truth is that most of us do care about the environment and even with the gains in standard of living and power improvements we’ve also seen improvements in efficiency and emissions.
AND CHECK OUT THESE CHARTS - We’ve done better in emissions than almost every other country and yet we are bashed by leaders of these other countries.
How about that for drive-by legacy journalism. The drive-by media should be ashamed at themselves…
Happy St. Hallmark’s Day, more like it–love is for suckers…
ST’s namesake also stands for Spring Training! Bats and balls have come out of the bag, stud pitchers and catchers started tossing the ball around and Opening Day is now only 6 weeks away! Whatever winter’s doing to you right now, the sport of spring, summer and a bit of fall is gearing up. Rejoice.

Happy Valentine’s Day, ST, albeit a tad early.
Sadly though, I’ve found out Valentine’s Day causes global warming.
I did not sire any child of that centerfold babe, so I guess I’m a minority
