ME: The Founding Fathers meant the Senate to be just that, and historically it has been just that. The Sober Senate is, and should be, the check and balance to the Moonbatty House, and vice versa. As for Senator McConnell, while I certainly agree with ST here, when I consider that the GOP is and has historically been obessively loyal while the Democratic Party is and has historically been obsessively all about "what's in it for my special interest group?" I'd have to say that Foghorn Leghorn would have had no trouble keeping the GOP together on this one. There will be other situations, though, where the country will, I'm sure, come to admire Senator McConnell's considerable political skills. \:d/ ST:
