Webb could be charged with a serious crime.

Are you kidding? Webb will probably get an award from his fellow Dems for trying to protect the Senate. I’d be very surprised if he, or the guy carrying it, are charged with anything.

As far as 24, does anyone else find it interesting that an african American president who is dedicated to diplomacy and fairness is teamed up with a vice president who is a maniacal, psychotic, nuke happy nut?!

Johnson’s license and plate invalid.

LANSING — A freshman state lawmaker from Highland Park is a serial traffic scofflaw who drove to work last week on a suspended license in a vehicle with an invalid plate.

Johnson, a Democrat and chairman of the Detroit caucus in the House, said he has “no excuse. I understand the seriousness of it. I shouldn’t be doing it.” He promised to not get behind the wheel again until it is legal for him to do so.

He suddenly has no excuse because he got CAUGHT, this is far from the first time he has done this as you will see……

Johnson is a member of the House Insurance Committee, which, among other things, oversees the regulation of auto insurance. The Free Press checked the driving records of the other committee members and found that Rep. Virgil Smith, a third-term Detroit Democrat, also has a suspended driver’s license.

If and when Johnson gets his license back, it will be an almost novel experience. At 33, Johnson’s license has been suspended for most of the 18 years he’s been old enough to drive, according to Secretary of State records.

At 16, he received his first ticket less than a month after he got his license. Since then, he’s been cited for moving violations — mostly speeding — at least 17 more times and had his license suspended more than two dozen times.

Secretary of State spokeswoman Kelly Chesney said the records indicate Johnson has never been off driving probation and appears to have possessed a valid operator license for only about three months since he got his license in 1989.

Johnson pleaded no contest to armed robbery and burglary in Oakland County in 1994 and spent eight months in prison. During last year’s campaign, Republican leaders suggested they might try to prevent Johnson from taking office under a state constitutional provision barring those convicted of felonies in violation of the public trust to do so.

They called on Johnson’s fellow Democrats to join the effort. Democrats denounced it, and voters apparently didn’t care. When Democrats assumed control in the state House, the issue was dropped.

State Rep. Rick Jones, R-Oneida Township and former Eaton County sheriff, said Friday that driving on a suspended license and in a car with invalid plates may not be a breach of public trust, but it is serious.

“Elected representatives are not above the law,” he said.

Jones said if Johnson fails to clear his record and continues to drive, the Legislature should at least request he be arrested.

How many of us could get away with being cited over and over again without going to jail.

And have to LOVE the quote, “may not be a breach of public trust, but it is serious’. Ummm wanna try it is against the Law, he is a lawmaker and has been repeatedly breaking the law for years and getting away with it.

Of course they don’t mention if anything will happen with the other Democrat that is driving on a suspended license also.

Also funny how he is still insured at all, but guess that goes with the position he is in, perhaps its a perk to get around the Law when Johnson is a member of the House Insurance Committee, which, among other things, oversees the regulation of auto insurance.

On the other hand – wanna bet that Webb gets the Patrick Kennedy or Cynthia McKinney special treatment from the MSM and their Democrat pets? A sweetheart deal may be in the works even as I write these words. I think that this is the most likely outcome.
