Why aren't earmarks (pork) voted on separately? Why are these things grouped up, hidden or pushed into bills that are absolutely needed, and to get the real meat of the bill passed you must pass a bunch of added garbage also? Personally I think each one should get a vote yes or no, that way we cut down on the bribes we just saw happen to get the votes for this one that just got passed through. Personally I think each one should get a vote yes or no, that way we cut down on the bribes we just saw happen to get the votes for this one that just got passed through.

I’m puzzled there’s $283 million for dairy farmers in an emergency war-funding bill. But there’s also $74 million for peanut farmers so, I figured our soldiers are eating a lot of peanut-butter sandwiches; they need more milk to wash them down with.

I could've swore we heard the same promise on the McShame-Slimeroad Lieberal Protection Act, and outside of the part of the country covered by the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, that direct affront to the Constitution remains in full force.
