Hicks agreed to withdraw allegations he had been abused at the hands US personnel and is prohibited from speaking to the media for a year about the case.

Hicks gets nine month sentence A US military tribunal has handed down a nine-month prison sentence to David Hicks on a charge of supporting terrorism, a military judge said today. Earlier: "There's no way that this can be seen as a genuine guilty plea," the Greens senator Bob Brown told reporters. "[It is] simply a plea for release for exit from the inhumane Guantanamo Bay gulag."

He can have three choices – stay where he is and get fatter – work in Iraq as an IED sniffer for seven years – or he and the rest of the innocent terrorists there provide security detail for Pelosi’s when she heads to Syria.

I’d love to be a fly on the wall on the carbon credit saving boat ride over and hear the cross talk of who recruits who and the best ways to destroy America. Pelosi should have no problem with converting these experienced sots.

Reading an aussie newpaper yesterday (wish I could remember and quote it)

the buzz the family of this guy is putting out is that he is just pleading so that he can get OUT of Gitmo. That he’s not really guilty, he just wants out of there because he has been there 5 years and wants to go home.

I think we need to watch to see that Australia doesn’t release him, I don’t think his government will, but they will get a LOT of pressure to do so by the family and supporters of this scumball.
