How do you draw comments to an open thread and I don’t ;)

Those wacky Dutch are playing with fire -Allahpundit has the story on how they “misaligned” the prayer arrows for the massive Islamic prison population.

I received this from Severian a day or two back.

    A good read.

When I saw that story Steveegg, I had to chuckle how butts pointed at Mecca five times a day goes over with the 72 raisins they were promised.

I wonder what an arrow painted on the floor pointed down would look like. :-s

How did that link die? Oh well; we all know how to get to Hot Air :)

I would comment on those raisins, but I’m merely a guest here. As for the arrow, it’s on the wall.

  5. I fixed it, steve :)

  6. Severian says:

Sadly Don Ho just died at age 76. No more Tiny Bubbles…:(

    Thanks much, ST.

Fourth quake here in an hour…my cats are still hangin’ from the ceiling. All small and deeeeep but unnerving never the less.

  9. forest hunter says:

“The distinction between the cause of the President in beginning the war, and the cause of the country after it was begun, is a distinction which you [Democrats] cannot perceive.”

Care to venture a guess who said this anyone?

  10. Great White Rat says:

forest…I think that would be Abe Lincoln, speaking about the Mexican War. I believe that while he was an Illinois Congressman, he opposed the war, but once it started supported it and voted to fund it completely.

    Correct?

If so, aren’t those words so equally true of today’s Democrats…still putting politics above country.
