Yeah we’re all really shocked by the recent shootings at Virginia Tech. We don’t know if the immediate response by the administration was sufficient to contain the threat, and it’s unclear what exactly motivated the killer. Now all we can do is mourn for the victims…

Actually, I believe VA is a concealed carry state. There was recently a kerfluffle where a student at a VA university got in trouble for carrying his concealed weapon on campus, even though he had a permit. This was addressed in a bill before the VA legislature to allow people with permits to legally carry on campus, but the legislature didn’t approve it, of course, so carrying on a VA university campus is illegal.

Apparently they found a receipt for at least one of the pistols in his backpack, even though he’d filed the serial numbers off of the guns. Odd behavior.

I really despise people who will use a tragedy like this to push their agenda. If Virginia were a conceal carry state, this man might not have been able to kill 33 people. This argument works both ways. Sadly the left wing agenda of the MSM is to blind to see that, but there is no bias in the media. – Lorica

I believe this guy bought the guns from “Manny”. I, in no way, believe it was a legal transaction.

I don’t believe the libs can muster a rational thoght on this. They are too busy screaming about implementing the Third Reich gun laws that Sen. Dodd’s father tried implementing here and got part of with the Saturday Night Special act. That sure did a lot of good at VT, didn’t it.

OK, the Libs are going APES**T. They aren’t thinking, just kneejerk demands for gun bans.

1. There are more guns in the US than Illegal Aliens. If we can’t find and deport all the Illegal Aliens, then how are you libs going to find all the guns?

2. VT is already a gun free zone. What good did that do them? Same as DC, LA and SF. It does nothing except delineate an area where defenseless people are for the killing and maiming.

3. This shooter was here on a visa. Why do we let ANYONE into the country? Answer that libs. Please take time from stuffing the ballot boxes to do so.

4. What if this guy had used explosives or poison to kill this many people? Would we be banning that? How about we ban liberalism? It would do as much good.

I thought they described him as an Asian male here on a Visa, not an American.
This is just awful, my prayers go out for the victims and their families.
As usual, the media is blaming Bush for not allowing some sort of gun ban legislation deal on the clps and they are blaming the campus police and campus administration, why not put the blame the shooter.
I’m not saying all went perfect but lets get all the facts here.
Also, somewhat off topic here but could someone answer a question for me. When did Karen, not sure of her last name, go over to the clinton news network?
Saw he on cnn this a.m. giving a report from the school and I was shocked. She used to be on Fox and Friends and is so cute and bubbly, not at all cnn material, does anyone know why she defected to cnn?
Just curious. Thanks and lets all keep our prayers for the kids and families of Va. Tech.
