The mental health community rejects stigmatizing people, as that could prevent others from voluntarily coming forward; but apparently everyone who had a personal contact with this guy didn't think they were having a personal contact with this guy! Most of us have encountered withdrawn individuals that won't make eye contact and answer in mono-syllables if at all, but what can we do? If they don't express a threat, they are free to go about their business, as we are free to go about ours.
