Actually, Young’s smarmy suckup to the EUnichs is perhaps the most odious thing he has said in recent years.

Why not look to Europe for hatred and intolerance and Fascism and Nazism and Communism and genocide? Before that, we have the Divine Right of Kings. We have hereditary aristocracies. And of course, our own national Original Sin, slavery, was introduced by – Europeans. Then of course it was Europeans who invented the modern concept of liberty, and then, groundhog-like, they skittled, whining, away from it the past three centuries.

So Young gets mensch points for standing up for Wolfowitz. Whether he loses as many for kissing some stinking Euro-butt is an open question.

Yeah, I’m querulous today. None of you guys are gonna know why, either, so suck it up. I’m going back to stealth mode now…

I guess they thought that as in cases like Duke, hangin’s are for the DBM(MSM) to perform…..screw the trouble of actual fact findings. Convict’em in the rags w/o breakin’ a sweat is so progressive.

I know an auditor who has worked with numerous people from the World Bank, and everyone she has worked with has commented on the incredible corruption and incompetence of the bank. “Seriously messed up” is about the most benign comment she’s heard, and this is exactly what you might have guessed, a witch hunt to remove a person who has been trying to bring desperately needed reform and accountability to a corrupt and bureaucratic agency where people have gotten used to perks and lack of control and evaluation of results achieved. It’s the case of the “usual suspects,” European and other intergovernmental types, used to high living, and no accountability, squealing like stuck pigs when finally brought to heel. Same mindset as the UN.

How dare Wolfowitz try and judge people on how much corruption they stop and how much they actually aid poor countries and people! Doesn’t he know they aren’t to be held accountable for anything except how much cash they shovel out the door to corrupt countries who will provide the requisite kickbacks? Shocking.

Also note that it’s the Euroweenies that want him gone, the Africans want him to stay, they recognize the importance of what he’s trying to do if they are ever to lift their countries out of the desperate straights they are in now.
