I loved the "in-depth" reporting ABC did on the "alleged" bias at YouTube. They only listed one video that had been banned, Michele Malkin's on the PBS Islamic video scandal, and then never interviewed Malkin or asked any of her compatriots about it. No, they just said someone says they ban videos and YouTube says they don't, so that settles it. It's like someone interviewing Pol Pot about mass genocide in Cambodia, some people say Pol Pot has killed millions, but he says he hasn't, so that's that!

Repulsive, but hardly surprising. Gotta love that focused, in depth reporting though. Surprised they didn't manage to get Abu Graib or Gitmo or Bush Lied in there somewhere. 8-|

Conservatives sick of bias of Youtube create own video sharing site!

Banned From YouTube?

Conservatives Perceive YouTube Bias, Launch New Video-Sharing Site

...YouTube, which is owned by Google, has also been a favorite target of conservatives, who accuse the site of a liberal bias.

Banned from YouTube?

Railing against YouTube, two Republican White House veterans have launched QubeTV as a conservative alternative.

"There are a vast array of young conservative activists and operatives out there armed with cell phones or hand-helds that are going to capture the next 'macaca' moment or John Kerry bad joke and put them on Qube TV," says Gerow, whose Pennsylvania strategic media firm, Quantum Communications, created the Web site.

Gerow insists YouTube banned a video by conservative blogger Michelle Malkin about radical Islamists.

Responding to that incident, a statement on the Web site reads: "We fly the conservative flag here at QubeTV, and we will not be about banning or deleting conservatives."

YouTube takes issue with Gerow's assertion that the site is banning conservative content.

"That's flat out incorrect," says a spokesman for YouTube, who asked not to be identified by name.

A statement provided to ABC News by YouTube elaborated: "Our site provides an equal opportunity for both sides of the political spectrum and embraces voter interaction with the candidates with no regard to party affiliation."

YouTube says its users, not YouTube employees, police the site. However, if users flag inappropriate content, YouTube managers review it and remove the offending video from the site.

Conservatives Post to QubeTV
Though the new site lacks the bells and whistles YouTube boasts, some GOP presidential candidates have already contributed video.

Users can click on video of Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., explaining why President Bush's tax cuts should be made permanent.

Link

Here is the information on the new Conservative Video Hosting site:

AS THE QUBE TURNS
So what's coming next for QubeTV? Bit by bit the site is coming together. Building QubeTV in the public eye has been a both a joy and a challenge, a real chance to bring the American conservative movement together in one place – with all of you watching! Coming next: a continuation of the ongoing (and not always visible to the eye) tech improvements such as embeds and (duh!) categories, the simple basics we know you are looking for. On the creative side, as you can see conservatives are beginning to send us video that ranges from the serious (The Heritage Foundation and The Family Research Council) to satire (the original video to singer Patrick Henry's It's In the Koran), from breaking news (see The Pittsburgh-Tribune Review video of Tom DeLay taking on Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid) to old campaign commercials (see "How Mitch McConnell Got His Start.") And yes, the MoveOn.org crowd is showing up as well.

"If you build it they will come" went the famous line from the film Field of Dreams.

Exactly. Thanks for your patience, too!

Charlie and Jeff

QubeTV

No more conservative videos getting banned and unable to be shown.

This should have been done a LONG time ago.

No Lee, since the guest worker program isn't a program, that part of your statement is just stupid. As far as "no child left behind", I do believe that Teddy Kennedy had a hand in drafting NCLB. I do believe that the only reason it isn't working is because many in the teaching profession don't want it to work. If it were left to me, I say we should go with a voucher program, that is what George Bush wanted before NCLB was created. SO that part of your statement is pretty un-informed.

Lee what I am talking about is the years of the New Deal programs that have transferred trillions?? Into non-productive hands, only to have that money wasted by people that have no clue as to the value of a dollar. Let's talk about squandering billions in extra taxes on things like loans to the world bank that were forgiven later. You all complain about the 40 million wasted on the Starr investigation. How about the 800,000,000.00 wasted when Bill fired 400 tomahawks at our enemies and didn't hit a frickin thing. How about squandering the great economy that started under Ronald Reagan, and almost losing it at the end of Bill's reign of stupidity. Hell, speaking of RR, how about the assnine programs of that idiot Jimmy Carter. Need I really go on, or can you start to think for yourself for a moment Lee?? Instead of just reguritating the garbage you hear from the completely unbiased drive by media. - Lorica

Ohhh and as far as the joke goes, I would seriously doubt at Republican could be lost, and I seriously doubt that a Dem could help a lost person, well not without a huge committee, and a few billion dollars.

Sanity, here in South Jersey gas prices are in the 2.88 range. Just be glad you don't have to deal with California prices. I just got back from San Diego, and a gallon of regular goes for 3.97. And that was the BEST price I could find.

But that's to be expected, I guess, given the layers of blending regulations CA demands.

Several things are happening, including the switch to the "summer" boutique blends that all the different regions and states require for summer (when air pollution and inversion layers are often worse), and maintenance and changeovers at refineries to switch from distilling fuel oil for winter to gas for summer.

At least one major refinery was down for maintenance, the octane booster used previously is illegal, and the ethanol often used in it's place is in short supply, which makes it harder to make enough gas, and there are just flat out too many boutique blends required. There needs to be some common sense, there should be at most 5 or 6 custom blends, not the 50 or so there are now, required.

But the Democrats said it was all the Republican's fault, how can gas prices be going up now that Pelosi and Reid are in power?

Sanity,

some of the fuel terminals are running out of gas. We had 2 go dry in Iowa and the price went up about 40 cents/gallon.

Build more refineries, NOW!!! Shoot any environmentalist that gets in the way.

Gas prices are now 3.07 and rising by me here in Michigan.

Has anyone heard what is driving this price up?

I have not seen an increase in tension between Iran and the US to drive prices up - so what is doing it?

There was an excellent movie made by HBO a few years ago about a military coup in America. It starred Sam Waterston, Jason Robards, and Forest Whitaker. It was a very good movie.

I remember that, wasn't it called "By Dawn's Early Light" or something similar? Actually, it wasn't a military coup, but the exercising of a little known part of the Constitution where, if the President's cabinet lost confidence in him, they could vote for his removal, followed by Congressional actions and hearings. I can't recall the exact method at present. The military was gearing up for martial law as they thought there would be unrest.

I always thought in that scenario that it was legal and Whitaker's character should have shut up and gone along with it.

Actually, it wasn’t a military coup, but the exercising of a little known part of the Constitution where, if the President’s cabinet lost confidence in him, they could vote for his removal, followed by Congressional actions and hearings. I can’t recall the exact method at present. The military was gearing up for martial law as they thought there would be unrest.

I always thought in that scenario that it was legal and Whitaker’s character should have shut up and gone along with it.

The story about George, the Jack Russell terrier just tore me up. What a brave little dog.
Kinda reminds me of our troops. I can only imagine the number of them that have jumped in front on kids in Iraq to get them out of harm's way.
To bad the dems don't appreciate them.

"Most Libs are that way. It is always the Conservatives fault that the stupid plans they make don't create anything but havoc"

Uh Lorica what liberal plan that turns out to create havoc are you talking about?

Is it the Bush "guest worker" program? Or his failed "no child left behind"? Or his even bigger failure abstinence only sex education program?

By the way i've read the same joke too only the woman was a republican in that joke.

one day, you will go and we'll be staying" to the applause of several in the crowd.

You know, the guys in the gang unit here say that they frequently talk to gang members from Mexico and the gang members are constantly laughing in their face telling them that they are invading this country and there is nothing we can do to stop it.

This country better wake up, quick.

There was an excellent movie made by HBO a few years ago about a military coup in America. It starred Sam Waterston, Jason Robards, and Forest Whitaker. It was a very good movie.

I couldn't help in reading that article about the dog that the owners may have fed it amphetamines. What is wrong with people? Angry dogs aren't killing enough innocent people, you have to feed them amphetamines?!?!
