Maybe it’s time to widen the tent before the Republican party gets tossed on the trash heap of history.

Not too worried about that, considering the Republicans competition. Concerned about a party turning against one of it’s own, are you? Just ask Joe Lieberman what happened to him when he had the nerve to come back from Iraq and say things were not as bad as they thought.

If you’re not in lock-step with the Republican group think you’re a democrat? No wonder the Republican Party is losing. You’re driving away the people who actually agree with you on a majority of issues with your self-destructive ideological purification process. Ron Paul says something unpopular, he must be a Democrat, Rudy is pro-choice, he must be a Democrat. McCain supports ‘Amnesty’ and doesn’t like torturing poeple, he must be a Democrat. In my mind Ron Paul did lose big time. I have a friend who loves him, but mostly due to his stand on taxes. But with this one statement Ron Paul shows he is just not thinking straight.

Whenever anyone who is not a Dem starts using Dem talking points, I have wonder why he isn’t a Dem. First off, Iraq is not a “quagmire”, it is very winnable. Secondly, Vietnam was a “quagmire” for 2 reasons, one because Dems didn’t want to own up to starting the war, and wanted to make Nixon look bad, and 2 the whole concept of “containment” is an idiotic idea.

I was very happy to hear someone bring up the Fair Tax. I am in a Federal Income Tax at a local college, and I can tell you, after this class, I think I am going to commit myself to tax reform. The IRS is horrible institution, with out of control management, and out of it’s constitutional bounds. The whole concept of income tax goes against the constitution as it has evolved into a need to look into and control a person’s private papers. I hate the present income tax system, anyone who wants to reform taxes, especially to the Fair Tax, absolutely has my vote. – Lorica

Oh please. Ron Paul has voted against spending bill after spending bill and actually acts on the principles of small government standard Republican hacks pay lip service to. He’s more conservative, more principled, and more in line with the Republican tradition than Bush or any of the other candidates.

McCain was a snooze.

At least it was better than then the moonbats last 2 debates you gotta admit.
Ron Paul should walk NOW across the isle, he IS NOT a Republican.
Rudy was so strong against that wimp and I might be able to hold my nose and forgive him for his stand on abortion since God will judge him for that and I will judge him for MAKING US SAFE.
mcpain made me want to puke talking about torture, that is getting soooo old.
Mitt was sharp in my opinion.
Tancredo is still my choice for immigration but they won’t give him a chance.
Gimore and Tommy were O.K. but still waiting for Law and Order to jump in there to hear what he has to say.
All in all much better format and serious questions were asked and imagine this, they were even given a chance to answer, no cbs questions about pre-martial sex, ect.
