Carter: My remarks about Bush were “careless”

Riiiight.

Actually, he’s said and done far worse than the recent comments he made about the President. Will we be getting a clarification on those, too?

I’d like to see him clarify his positions in a lot of areas. For example, I’d like to see clarification of his incompetent bumbling in international affairs that encouraged the deposing of the Shah of Iran, the Shah’s replacement with a radical Shiah theocracy and the eventual hostage-taking of our diplomats there. Not to mention the botched rescue effort he mounted. If anyone has set a pattern for the modern American ineptitude and impotence that invites attack on the US, it was this peanut farmer. Now he lobbies for more of the same.

Peanut-to-English translation – I got caught. I have to put something out there that acknowledges that, but I can’t be seen as weak in the eyes of my nutroot supporters.

I don’t want “Peanuts” Carter to clarify anything. I just want him to just shut up! I wonder if I can get Carter nominated for Mike & Mike’s “Just Shut Up” segment on ESPN Radio?

Clarification? What clarification? He said his comments were either “careless or misinterpreted.” Well, which one is it?

The only thing clear is: he’s lying. He called Bush’s foreign policy the worst in history. It’s tough to spin that statement, and to attempt to do so the way in which Carter did (by saying he was comparing it Nixon) is ridiculous.

    “Peanut-to-English translation” – fantastic!

I drive by Peanut-head’s home town in Georgia when we go to my in-laws. For some reason I’ve never felt a desire to stop and “take the tour” although I do tend to develop an itch/rash if I get too close.

Gotta love it though, I was misquoted, taken out of context, etc. Yeah, it’s hard to take the equivalent of “F you” out of context ain’t it?

This idiot has made deorgatory comments about President Bush for the last 7 years, what’s new?
Most x-Presidents have the class to not do that while a President is still in, most that is unless they are dems making the comments.:x
