VIDEO: Hillary Clinton: “Something has to be taken away from some people”

More Socialistic preachings from she who wants to be president:

Transcript (via “dollarsandsense” at YouTube):

“[B]ecause an uninsured person who goes to the hospital is more likely to die than an insured person. i mean, that is a fact. so what do we do? we have to build a political consensus. and that requires people giving up a little bit of their own turf in order to create this common ground. the same with energy. you know, we can’t keep talking about our dependence on foreign oil and the need to deal with global warming and the challenge that it poses to our climate and to god’s creation and just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people.”

This was broadcast on CNN tonight as part of a presidential candidates ‘faith forum’ of sorts, as described by CNN:

Special programming note: Tonight at 7 p.m. ET, CNN will serve as the exclusive broadcaster of a presidential candidate forum on faith, values and politics during the Sojourners “Pentecost 2007” conference in Washington, D.C.

The Rev. Jim Wallis of Sojourners, author of the best selling book “God’s Politics: Why the Right Gets It Wrong and the Left Doesn’t Get It,” has invited Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Barack Obama to share their ideas and proposals about pressing social issues with a special emphasis on poverty.

CNN’s Soledad O’Brien will moderate the event, live from The George Washington University’s Lisner Auditorium.

And the conversation continues on Paula Zahn Now at 8 p.m. ET with White House hopefuls Sen. Joe Biden, Gov. Bill Richardson, Sen. Chris Dodd and Rep. Dennis Kucinich. Rev. Jesse Jackson will also participate.

I’d say Hillary has ‘faith’ alright, not in the power of the people but instead the power of the federal government. Because she has a fairly comfortable lead in the polls right now, she clearly feels emboldened to slide in ideas favorable to Socialists under the guise of, of course, ‘helping people.’
