"Rahm Emanuel is son of the devil's spawn. He is an individual who would sell his mother to get a vote. He would strap his children to the front end of a steam locomotive."

…[T]here is nothing which can better deserve your patronage, than the promotion of science and literature. Knowledge is, in every country, the surest basis of public happiness……….. to discriminate the spirit of liberty from that of licentiousness—cherishing the first, avoiding the last; and uniting a speedy but temperate vigilance against encroachments, with an inviolable respect to the laws.

In a just and a free government, therefore, the rights both of property and of persons ought to be effectually guarded……….As the holders of property have at stake all the other rights common to those without property, they may be the more restrained from infringing, as well as the less tempted to infringe the rights of the latter………. the danger to the holders of property can not be disguised, if they be undefended against a majority without property………… We must not shut our eyes to the nature of man, nor to the light of experience. Who would rely on a fair decision from three individuals if two had an interest in the case opposed to the rights of the third? Make the number as great as you please, the impartiality will not be increased, nor any further security against injustice be obtained, than what may result from the greater difficulty of uniting the wills of a greater number.
The wildfires have destroyed valuable natural and cultural resources in the National Forest System and pose an ongoing threat to visitors, residents and responding firefighters, according to federal law-enforcement authorities and others.
Yet another reason to start putting troops on our southern border. This shouldn’t even be debatable. With almost every county along the border being in a state of emergency, our border security should not be used as some political pawn. And the people who guard our border should have the assistance of every state and federal agency available. Why isn’t the October 2006 border security law still not being enacted? – Lorica
