Cameron Diaz decided to go wandering around Peru with a handbag imprinted with one of the slogans of Chairman Mao. The problem is that Maoist terrorists killed more than 50,000 people during an insurrection in Peru in the ’80s and ’90s. Naturally, the locals were more than a little irritated.

Of course, like most ce-lib-rities, Diaz has the brains of a three-week old kitten, so I’ll assume she had no clue about who or what Shining Path was.

You’ll never guess what information BBC wanted from it’s Iraq viewers

My favorite part was:

Just one day after an independent report accused the British Broadcasting Company of having a “culture of bias” — the BBC’s Web site carried a request for people in Iraq to report troop movements to the network.

Thank God after an uproar they took it down. I guess the BBC figured since they couldn’t destroy the war effort with their propaganda they would just go straight to broadcasting allied troop movements.

Absolutely unbelievable.
