Let’s be frank: there are certain blue names that cause red heads to explode–George Soros! Eeeek. Michael Moore! Eeeek and double eeeek. But how much influence do they truly have? Is Soros the eeeevil financial manipulator of the left, or is he merely George Steinbrenner, who spends $2 million on salaries while his team is still 10 games or so behind the Red Sox and whose team has just lost five of six games with the Colorado Rockies and the San Francisco Giants, whose combined payrolls don’t equal the Yanks’.

All I know is that if the voters perceive you’re left of the fringe line (or, on the red side, right of it), they will not vote for you.

Leslie, I always enjoy your posts and you always present your arguments in a clear and concise manner, but I’m afraid when you compare George Soros to the NY Yankees you have stepped over the line.
