   On the heels of the car bomb incidents in the UK comes an interesting piece in the Daily Mail by a former jihadist.

   Start with this statement:

   I remember how we used to laugh in celebration whenever people on TV proclaimed that the sole cause for Islamic acts of terror like 9/11, the Madrid bombings and 7/7 was Western foreign policy.

   By blaming the Government for our actions, those who pushed this “Blair’s bombs” line did our propaganda work for us.

   This confirms what we conservatives already knew, and what the leftists will never understand or admit.

   Hassan Butt is the author. He’s very clear about the source of the islamic terrorist problem today:

   I was taught by Pakistani and British radical preachers that this reclassification of the globe as a Land of War (Dar ul-Harb) allows any Muslim to destroy the sanctity of the five rights that every human is granted under Islam: life, wealth, land, mind and belief.

   In Dar ul-Harb, anything goes, including the treachery and cowardice of attacking civilians.

   It’s an excellent column that gives you a glimpse into the mind of exactly what we’re fighting – and why we must win.

   Al Gore’s son busted for drugs in hybrid car
   LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – The 24-year-old son of former Vice President Al Gore was arrested for drug possession on Wednesday after he was stopped for allegedly speeding in his hybrid Toyota Prius, a sheriff’s official said.

   Al Gore III — whose father is a leading advocate of policies to fight global warming — was driving his environmentally friendly car at about 100 miles per hour on a freeway south of Los Angeles when he was pulled over by an Orange County sheriff’s deputy at about 2:15 a.m..
