I think we in the UK realised that (during the Northern Ireland troubles) removing the religious context and emphasising the criminality made it easier to gain majority support within both protestant and Catholic communities and they ‘co-operated’. No longer seen as a religious war. Seems to have worked!

What is it that makes this acquiescence of evil so damned tempting? The worst part is the Brits seem to be eating it up. I love some of the quotes of the people interviewed. Brits praise Brown
