Poll: Majority of Democrats want Bush impeached

Posted by: Sister Toldjah on July 6, 2007 at 6:34 pm

Well, we ALL knew that – but too bad this poll makes it sound like a majority of Americans favor Bush’s impeachment.

There they go oversampling Democrats again.

So it’s simply another joke poll. What a waste of newsprint. Democrats ought to be ashamed to be linked to such drivel!

    2. m.croche says:

Nothing wrong with the sample. More people identify Democratic than Republican. See:

That’s almost always been the case. There has almost always been more registered democrats than Republicans. To me it makes me wonder how the dems lose national elections at all with those kind of numbers. Must be the people they nominate.

    4. Terrye says:

I think they do oversample Democrats, but I have heard some people on the right say things here of late that make me wonder how they would answer this question. After all it is Jorge Busho we are talking about here. I for one, I am tired of both extremes hijacking American politics.

Besides that they would just end up with Cheney. I doubt Pelosi and her friends would like that any better.

    5. Drewsmom says:

Yeah, see more and more pubs turning on Bush, Pete yesterday and the other two the previous days.
Really don’t know how this may end up — may see Impeachemnt before he ends his term, but like clintoon he won’t be convicted. I’ll just hate to see the dems slobbering all over themselves, sickning and nancy will just have that frozen ass botox smile plastered on her ugly puss.
Still waiting for my man Fred to announce.

If the right goes after Bush anymore than they already have, I will wash my hands of them.

    7. Lorica says:

If there is nothing wrong with oversampling Dems because they represent more of the population, then why does the MSM have to oversample by considerably more than that same percentage? The depths of justification for the MSM bias knows no bounds to those who are allied against Bush.

Terrye, Now that the immagration debate is over, I not heard or read anyone who is degrading GW. Granted I am not looking for it, but I am pretty savvy politically, I think I would have run across it somewhere. This is the 2nd time this week you have said you are going to leave your Republican affiliations, it seems to me you have made up your mind to do so already, and are just looking for the reason. – Lorica

    8. Mwalimu Daudi says:

Terrye, why should I not criticize Bush when I believe that he is wrong and support him when he is right? It’s ironic – those of us (like myself) who support Bush’s stance on the war in Iraq are routinely bashed by the Left as war-loving chickenhawk zombies. Now we are being taken to task by others for not being sufficiently loyal to Bush on the issue of immigration.

    9. Great White Rat says:

If the right goes after Bush anymore than they already have, I will wash my hands of them.

Terrye, are you sure you’ve got a good handle on the facts here? No one on the right is calling for impeachment. That’s only the folks on the left.

As for Republicans turning on the president – the ones Drewsmom is talking about – that’s on the subject of Iraq. That’s a place where “the right” that you’re angry with supports President Bush completely. The ones deserting him here are the ones in the so-called center – the ones you claim to identify with more.

MD’s completely right. When the President is right on an issue, those of us on “the right” – whatever you consider that to be – will stand with him. We’ve done that countless times – tax cuts, judgeships, the War on Terror. And we will continue to do so. But when he’s wrong, it’s our duty to counsel him to rethink his position, as on the immigration issue.

Lorica’s also right..it seems you’re looking for a reason to demonize the conservative base. You have to know that can’t help the administration. Look how just such tactics galvanized the opposition to the immigration bill.
