No Problem Vatar,

Lot's of times things we type don't come across exactly as we meant to say them. I kind of read where you were going with your statement, but it came across so bad I had to call you on it.

As far as Condi goes, she hasn't seemed that stellar recently. But if you take a hard look at her background, minister's daughter, her college educations, turned a college budget around, and worked for both dem and republican administrations, her lifetime achievement is pretty good.

Also, she seems to take things in stride and address criticism when she receieves it from the media. The main reason I brought Condi up was to prove there was a minority and a woman that was more than qualified for the job.

Oops, Michael=vatar. Don't know how that was already filled in on the form.

I am about as far to the right as they come, and a couple of years ago I thought that Condi was all that, but lately I am reconsidering. I think the problems in Iraq are more diplomatic issues than military. Something isn't clicking over there, and it isn't something that having more troops (or less) is going to fix.

A little background on myself. I worked for 10 years in Intelligence (North Korean theater), and currently have a son-in-law in Iraq.

Sorry, that was meant to be sarcastic. It does seem to be the next logical step after saying that white men have no business talking about female and black community issues, which I also think is bunk.

Novak basically said that the dems have an easy walk to the white house, but might be screwing up by having a woman or minority as thier nominee.

I don't agree with Novak on a few things. I don't know if polls actually tell the truth as far as the dems having a shot at the whitehouse. It will depend on the countries mood at the time of the election.

Most polls are conducted by those seeking to confirm an opinion they already have. And therefore questions are skewed to return an answer favorable to that opinion.

I don't think putting a woman or a minority up for your nominee screws up your chances. I don't like Hillary from what I've seen and read of her. But it has nothing to do with the fact she is a woman.

I do believe Condoleezza Rice would be a great choice for president. Take a look at the wikipedia link below to learn more about her. Hopefully she will run at some point in the future. Or maybe she's seen enough off politics. That business has got to wear on you.

And no offense to vatar, but I think you're comments are somewhat racist and sexist. You should treat everyone you meet as an individual, and determine what type of person they are based on what you know or learn about them, not thier race/sex.

Then people who don't pay taxes, which includes a disproportionate number of black people and women, should have no say in issues of taxation and government spending. Good deal.
