House Dems eliminate “John Doe” protection

This was the amendment passed about 4 months ago with bipartisan support that protected citizens from being sued for reporting suspicious behavior that suggested a planned terrorist attack. It was passed as a result of the incident of the 6 imams who were tossed off a plane at MSP after unusual behavior that presaged a terrorist strike. Their response, of course, was to sue the passengers who reported the actions.

So Pelosi and her ilk have now decided that if you were to see Osama bin Laden himself personally distributing plans to launch new attacks, you should not report it, because later Osama – or more likely, an attorney hired by CAIR or the ACLU – would be allowed to sue you.

As if we needed any more evidence that the leftists in this country cannot be trusted with national security…

You’d be right if the purpose of the suit was to correct some possible wrong Plame suffered by having her so-called cover blown. That would be the common sense thing to do and most people would approach it that way.

But that wasn’t what Plame and Lyin’ Joe had in mind. This suit was devoid of any serious content; instead, it was filed only as a rather pathetic attempt to embarrass the administration. Thank God the judge in this case looked at the law instead of engaging in some leftist judicial activism.

This all goes back to the dems losing by 500 votes in Florida. It’s likely that the butterfly ballot cost them 500 votes. But again, who designed the butterfly ballot. The dems. They have been frothing at the mouth ever since 2000, and continue to froth.
