Wrong!!

Regime change in Iraq was standard US policy for Iraq as of 1998. President Clinton asked for the authority and given it by Congress. Or was this just another Monica Diversion?? Whatever, it doesn’t matter. It was US policy to oust Saddamn after years of ignoring the surrender agreement and kicking out the weapons inspectors. If we “Rushed” to war, it was the shortest 5 year rush in the history of mankind. – Lorica

Terrye your memory doesn’t serve you very well at all. No Democratic president made it national policy to invade and occupy Iraq. And where do you get off criticizing anyone for consistency? Even Dick Cheney knew attacking Baghdad would lead to a quagmire in 1991. You have cretins like Bond who claim the surge is the new magic key to winning in Iraq while expecting us to forget he said the same thing about every stupid move the incompetents Bush and Cheney have made since 2003. It still works with a dwindling few of the memory impaired like you but for most of America? Nope.
Occupying Iraq isn’t the solution, it’s the problem.

If I remember correctly the Democratic Senate voted to give Bush authority to go into Iraq and the former president, a Democrat, made the removal of Saddam from power our national policy. Now I realize that these guys are doing what is expedient, but if they want to be consistent, shouldn’t they vote to censure themselves as well?
