By the way, I forgot to ask - how would the Fairness Doctrine affect PBS?

Ha ha snort. I crack me up sometimes.

Electoral fraud has historically been a Democratic Party strong suit. As has machine politics.

Other historical Democrat positions: slavery, secession, the Klan, Jim Crow. Selma, Bull Conner, Lester Maddox, George Wallace...

But Republicans are institutionally corrupt. Republicans are racist. Republicans are warmongers. Republicans are (fill in the blank).

Current DNC policy is predicated upon the assumption that their core constituency are uneducated, fearful, weak, and easily coerced. As Leslie notes, minorities are to stupid to make the correct decisions without benevolent shepherds.

What I really can't understand is why more registered Democrats don't resent these assumptions.

Here we have an incumbent Vice President running for the office of the Presidency, former Senator from Tennessee, son of former Senator from Tennessee; he couldn't carry his own state, but never claimed voter fraud there. How did Al Gore ever answer this question, or was it ever asked?

<blockquote>Notice the paternalism that's implicit there. As usual, the left assumes a "minority" is a member of a group that is childlike and needs the protection of the leftist nannies. I wonder why a legitimately registered member of a minority would be intimidated because people who have voted illegally are being caught?</blockquote>

Great question!

I knew the lefties would go back to the 2000 election when none of the other junk they threw out there stuck. They just went in a big circle.

ST urges us to:

<blockquote>
Get that? There's a strong implication there that says prosecuting voter fraud - even a few cases - would be enough to 'suppress' voters because minority voters would supposedly be intimidated.
</blockquote>

As for voter fraud itself--it's been going on since Biff the Strong's political advisor, Murray the Clever, made sure there were enough white stones in the bowl to elect his boss as head of cave.

It would seem to me that it would be almost embarrassing to admit that anyone felt that prosecuting cases of voter fraud is a bad thing.

<blockquote>NOW: So you're saying prosecuting cases of voter fraud is not something that traditionally has been high on the list of priorities for U.S. attorneys in New Mexico or elsewhere in the country?

DI: That's correct.</blockquote>

In 2000, Vice President Gore carried the state of New Mexico by 366 votes.

No one cared, of course, because a reversal of the vote would have meant nothing: had Mr Gore <strike>managed to fabricate enough votes to have </strike> carried Florida, changing New Mexico would still not have helped Governor Bush.

Great post ST.

I don't understand how lack of facts = news for PBS to report. Allegations are good to go and the largest voter fraud actual CONVICTIONS of liberal/Democrat groups like ACORN are not the point to PBS.

This means to me that PBS is in favor of voter fraud. The ends justify the means to these people.

Can we all just say we are in favor of one vote per registered citizen that is alive? I'm not thinking at this point.... liberals can't say it. 100% of voter turnout in St. Louis MO is statistical proof to me that voter fraud is winked at by Democrats.
