They need the 'pack' to remain happy and healthy. The human family becomes their pack, which is why some dogs become destructive when no one in the family is home. They're reacting as if they have been abandoned. I can't see any of these dogs becoming happy in such selfish circumstances. This is simply cruelty, and another way for self-centered people to have their cake and eat it, too. Disgusting idea! Cute Chihuahua! Dogs are social animals.
