Actually, Leslie, were I a resident of SF I’d be vigorously lobbying my fellow Republicans to vote for Sheehan. After all, there isn’t a snowball’s chance in Hell that anyone with an “R” after his name will be elected, and the winner is going to be either squishy left or hard left anyway.

Seriously, if you can’t get your own candidates elected, try kneecapping the opposition. Yeah, pretty darn eeeeee-vil, huh?

Mrs. Sheehan’s son died in service to his country fighting in Iraq. As a veteran, I am offended that Mrs. Sheehan would exploit the death of Specialist Sheehan.

Well said, David. That was my first reaction to this story as well…complete revulsion that she would dishonor her son’s sacrifice by using him as a campaign prop while trying to sabotage everything he gave his life to defend.

Sheehan said she wouldn’t accept money from corporations and would run on a platform of universal health care. Sheehan said she also wants to make college affordable and improve ethics in the legislative and executive branches.

That, and getting US troops out of occupied New Orleans. Don’t forget that.

The fact that this hate-mongering self-absorbed lunatic would get any kind of support, even in San Francisco, boggles the mind.

This will be fun to watch, and if Sheehan wins, it just means that another moron will become Speaker to replace Pelosi (whether from Team R or Team D).

I know a few people who are 6th generation San Franciscans, and, as you can imagine, they are livid about what has happened to their city.
