[...] There is something very interesting happening right now: Senators Levin - Democrat - and Warner - Republican - recently came back from a trip to Iraq and had some things to say about the surge. Certain newspapers and bloggers interpreted their words to mean that they - most noteably Levin - believes the surge is working. Other bloggers argue the exact opposite. Since the two sides cannot possibly both be right, the question is who is right? [...]

- Hillary Clinton says the surge is "working" but that it's still time to "honor" our troops by "beginning to bring them home."

- Backtracking on her hasty earlier statement about it being "too little to late". Wouldn't do for her and her potential running mate, Mark Warner, to be already stepping all over each others feet on the number one issue. the first comment was the usual red meat for the loons, the second was an oops moment.

- Brace yourselves for an almost continuous tap dance around the issues, wheels inside of wheels, and Hillary is the perfect chameleon for the job.

- If Iraq continues to make progress, and actually starts to look like an eventual win, there's going to be a steady parade of Dem backpeddling on a breathtaking scale. Funny how Rove had Bush time the September report. You think maybe He was trying to catch the surrender monkeys in a no-win bind? Heh.

- The hapless Dems keep getting caught between the loons and not wanting to play pitiful catch up. I'm enjoying the hell out of it, aside from the really great possibilities in Iraq. We get Iraq under control, and the Sec Proggs can kiss their turncoat asses goodbye for another 8 years at least.
