Don’t accuse Edwards of hypocrisy – as he has carefully explained, he EARNED all of his priviledges by, um, fighting hard for the rights of poor people to each get a check for $5.32 in a class action suit, while he pockets a couple mil. That’s the price each and every one of us pays for social justice, baby – it galls Edwards to do it, but somebody has to live in a 28,000 sq. ft. mansion and drive expensive cars in order to look out for the poor. Left to his own devices he much rather live in a yurt and drive a Prius, or better yet ride mass transit with the rest of us.

Instead, admire him for the strength of character that enables him to tolerate such luxurious surroundings while retaining his laudable humility. The man is a saint, I tell ya! A SAINT!!!! Me, if I had his money I’d probably be just another rich dork, but Edwards remains the same down home, corn pone eating, honest country boy he always was. Why, the man has more integrity in his little finger than I have in my entire spleen!

“Edwards believes that everyone should be able to drive the car, truck or SUV of their choice and still enjoy high fuel economy”…I agree. We should change the laws of physics such that the rolling resistance of a vehicle is not proportional to its weight, and also so that the air drag is not affected by its shape and frontal area.
