Instead of dishonest and contradictory attacks on the President that he has no strategy, or that he does have a new strategy but it has failed to produce the intended results in nine months, I'm curious to hear from the Democratic leadership just what isn't convincing about destroying al Qaeda terrorists in Iraq? What isn't worthwhile about preventing Iran from dominating its neighbors in the region as that country continues to flout the international community that Democrats love to tout as so important to our security? Where is the value to our well-being in abandoning an ally struggling for its survival?

Although Democrats have gone to Iraq and noted the progress the surge is making, and although Petraeus' and Crocker's testimony proved compelling, the idea that the surge is working has not yet become the prevailing notion in the U.S. While I certainly acknowledge that, as is the case with most gains in war, it is entirely possible that conditions in Iraq could again begin to deteriorate, the fact is the President has gained the time he needs for events on the ground to take their course in a successful manner and shape. If the surge's progress continues, and conditions in Iraq continue to improve, there will be no stopping the acknowledgment of those facts; as that happens (if it does), it will become exponentially more difficult for the Democrats to peddle their surrender myth.

The real interesting thing to watch for in the coming months is how the Democrats will act as they are clearly unable to force a withdrawal. What further fissures will we see between the anti-war radicals and the Democrats? What new lows will groups like MoveOn.org sink to as they are continually stifled in their defeatist efforts?

They have it because the White House sends it out as a press release. I got one about a half-hour ago and posted it, too. Usually they send the full text with an "embargoed until delivery" warning on it (no idea what they would, or could, do if someone ignored the warning and published it ahead of time).
