I’m swamped this morning – will hopefully be able to blog some this afternoon, if not, then definitely early this evening.

Have I mentioned how happy I am that it’s Friday? :D

Rush is onto something that I have to agree with. He is talking about how all of these “Support the troops” Democrats not one time asked Petraus what they could do to help the troops. They all waxed on eloquently about how bad the war in Iraq is, but not a one asked if they could be more helpful. It seems to me that these guys had already made up their minds, Ahhh Duh!!! CUT AND RUN!!! CUT AND RUN!!! FDR and Harry Truman are rolling over in their graves over these pathetic excuses of Democrats. – Lorica

On the lighter side of the news….

OJ Simpson is a named suspect in a casino break in.

LAS VEGAS (AP) – Investigators questioned O.J. Simpson and named him a suspect Friday in a confrontation at a casino hotel room involving sports memorabilia. The former football star said he went to the room to retrieve property he said was stolen from him but denied breaking in.

Hmm, was there a police report?
Did you call the police and let them know you been robbed?

I thought the goldmans had taken all that and sold it?

Simpson, who was in Las Vegas for a friend’s wedding, said he arranged to meet Riccio at the hotel and conducted a “sting operation.”

    {Humming the tune, “Secret Agent Man”}

“Everybody knows this is stolen stuff,” Simpson said. “Not only wasn’t there a break-in, but Riccio came to the lobby and escorted us up to the room. In any event, it’s stolen stuff that’s mine. Nobody was roughed up.”

I didn’t rough up nobody…and even if I did, they deserved it.

Damn good thing he wasn’t carrying a knife….

    (allegedly)

Simpson has had to auction off his sports collectibles, including his Heisman Trophy, to pay some of the $33.5 million judgment awarded in the civil trial.

On Thursday, the Goldman family published a book about the killings that Simpson had written under the title, “If I Did It,” about how he would have committed the crime had he actually done it. After a deal for Simpson to publish it fell through, a federal bankruptcy judge awarded the book’s rights to the Goldman family, who retitled it “If I Did It: The Confessions of a Killer.”

Fred Goldman, Ron’s Goldman’s father, defended the family’s decision to publish the book. He noted Simpson’s penchant for breaking headlines.

“He brings attention to himself every time we turn around and he will continue to do that forever,” Goldman said Friday on NBC’s “Today Show.”

    He has a point.

It seems OJ creeps into the news quite a bit.

    Creep.

Yeah, that is a good word for it.

Another interesting tidbit out of Iraq:

    Reformed Jihadist renounces terrorism

Al Shayea, who was disfigured during the attack, claims al Qaeda tricked him into becoming a bomber by asking him to deliver a tanker truck, which they had rigged with a bomb.

So it’s not that so many people are lining up to be suicide bombers, it’s that Al Qaeda is turning unwilling people into human bombs.

Al Shayea renounced terrorism and returned to Saudi Arabia, where he works to convince would-be insurgents and terrorists to give up their deadly ways.

Great Story NC!! I think more and more muslims are beginning to see AQ and OBL a terrorist organization. Thank you God!! – Lorica

    More good news:

    Israelis destroy Syrian nuclear cache

A combined raid of commandos and F-15s blew apart a facility containing nuclear material that apparently came from North Korea.

By its actions, Israel showed it is not interested in waiting for diplomacy to work where nuclear weapons are at stake.

This used to be known as “common sense.” I challenge anyone here to name me one left-wing presidential candidate who has a smidgen of this.

As a bonus, the Israelis proved they could penetrate the Syrian air defence system, which is stronger than the one protecting Iranian nuclear sites.

Which means taking out the mullahs’ nuke sites shouldn’t be a big problem should be finally decide it needs to be done and done quickly. Maybe we can persuade the Code Pinkos and Kossacks to act as human shields just before we do it…

But for now, there’s only one thing to say:

    Way to go, IDF!!! =d>

Thank God there is still one other nation on this earth that recognizes the threats and are NOT AFRAID to act in self preservation.

FILE THIS UNDER “WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE”:

    Some Friend, W’s Mexican Amigo
    September 16, 2007 12:06 PM ET | Bedard, Paul | Permanent Link

At the White House, the president has got to be muttering “some friend” when he pores over the new autobio from his old buddy Vicente Fox, Mexico’s former leader. That’s because Fox raps his border pal as stubborn and “the cockiest guy I have ever met in my life.” Revolution of Hope, out next month, is a well-written, well-researched book about Fox’s political career and presidency, which coincided with George W. Bush’s. While he expresses a kinship with W, he breaks with the prez on the war and slams the GOP’s immigration platform. He blames Bush’s stubbornness on Iraq for bad international relations, calls his Spanish “grade-school level,” and admits he didn’t think Bush would ever become president. “I can’t honestly say that I had ever seen George W. Bush getting to the White House,” he pens.

What a cry baby, who thinks he is of some importance. What did you do Mr. Fox for your people?? America does more for the Mexican people than you ever did you. We provide jobs and healthcare for the Mexican people we give their government money to waste on itself. Yet another attempt to sell extra books to guilible lefties who are dumb enough to waste their money to make this man richer. – Lorica
